If you like to keep up with the latest Oprah book selections, come on in on Tuesday, February 6th when her latest choice will be revealed.  She will be announcing the book and the author will be interviewed on national television that morning; until then, the title is top secret!  We aren’t even allowed to open the box until that day so I can’t share any more information with you until then.

On Monday, February 12th we welcome author Marty Seifert to the store at 6:30 PM.  He will talk about his book which details one of the most notorious ax murders in American history.  It actually took place in March of 1917 on a farm in rural southwestern Minnesota very near where Marty grew up.  He knew a little about the story for most of his life and his curiosity finally compelled him to do some extensive research about it and put it into a book.  Sundown at Sunrise; A Story of Love and Murder is on our shelves now and  will be available for purchase at the event.  Marty currently lives in Marshall and works as a lobbyist for a law firm.  In case you’re wondering why his name sounds familiar, it is because he served seven terms in the Minnesota House of Representatives and ran for Governor in both the 2010 and 2014 elections.  It will be a lively evening of conversation and questions – don’t miss it!
